FEATURES & benefits

  • Various styles and compositions of the hard layer to meet your design requirements and application

  • High quality tungsten carbide elements with extreme hardness and toughness to ensure max wear resistance without fracture

  • Maximum erosion, high shear, and impact resistance are achieved by high bonding strength and lowest porosity, thanks to our proprietary alloying composition and process

  • Desired base material properties are obtained with precisely controlled sintering and post heat treatment processes

hard layer characteristics

  • Super bonding strength(min 70,000 psi): Chipping and flaking are prevent from happening during operation thanks to the super metallic bonding strength between matrix and base steel

  • High thermal conductivity(up to 88W/m.k): Thermal cracking caused by excessive local heat is eliminated by high thermal conductivity of the matrix

  • High tungsten carbide inserts coverage(60%-75% of total bearing surface): Excellent sliding wear and erosion resistance are achieved by the large cemented carbide contact area

  • High density and lower porosity(<1%): Likelihood of erosion and corrosion damage from drilling mud is decreased substantially

aPPLICATIONS

TUNGSTEN CARBIDE RADIAL BEARING IN MUD MOTOR

  • Abrasive, erosive, and corrosive resistance requirements as motor parts used as sliding bearing, flow restricting and stabilizing purposes, can be tailored and met by engineering and controlling parameters, like bearing effective contact area, carbide grain size and shape, cobalt, and other alloying elements content

  • Steel strength and toughness needed for thread connection design can be achieved by post heat treatment

  • Machining, threading and QC inspection can be done within one shop to ensure manufacturing consistency, saving  you time and money
